Alumni spotlight: Zukowski Family

Nancy Zukowski had an exceptional Mother's Day weekend when she and two of her children — Abigail and Will — participated in an EIU commencement ceremony together.

The Peru, Ill., residents now join another Zukowski daughter — Emily '06, '08, a high school counselor, department chair and track coach in Washington, Ill. — as proud EIU alumni.

EIU grads play prominent role in Charleston/Mattoon area

Each year, the Journal Gazette/Times-Courier honors young people who contribute to the community in myriad ways. Nearly half of this year's "20 Under 40" honorees are EIU graduates.

Congratulations to EIU alumni C.J. Applegate, Tim Condron , Sarah Greider, Peggy Lawson, Amanda Lewis , Michelle Nuzum, Tony Reeley, Jennifer Sipes and Jennifer Swearingen, as well as current EIU student Stacey Birdsong.
